A memento from the past, built for the future.

Retio — a portmanteau of “retro” and “radio” — is a Bluetooth-enabled smart speaker, radio, and clock handcrafted in California from vintage Nixie tubes, brass, and American black walnut.

English is a second language for the entrepreneurs behind this Kickstarter, so they sought someone who could help them better communicate their product’s value: ultimately, we chose to focus on both physical quality and the sentiment behind its conception.

The project reached its $20,000 goal in less than an hour and finished with $1,092,597 in funding.

While the campaign had a strong nostalgic sentiment, it was also very product-focused. Retio’s attractive aesthetic and truly superior quality make it any marketer’s dream.
